A rare chance to own an original piece of Jamie Hewlett's artwork. This page has been in our possession for over thirty years.
Conceptual artwork of Booga in "Ripper" costume, drawn by Tank Girl co-creator Jamie Hewlett for the 1995 motion picture "Tank Girl".
Drawn in graphite pencil onto cartridge paper, the two lower head-shots have been cut out from other pages/sheets and glued onto the main sheet by Jamie as he was working on the concept back in 1994. Jamie's hand-written notes appear next to the main figure's head.
Condition is good - the artwork has been kept flat for over 30 years, however there are a few minor creases, a diagonal fold, and the evidence of Jamie pinning the sheet to a work board can be seen at the very top-centre, along with a tiny layer of paper that has come off with masking tape (see photos).
Overall dimensions 297 x 420mm approx.
